Anne S. Carter, Ph.D.

Pasadena Hearing Care was founded in 2012 by Dr. Anne Carter. Dr. Carter worked in hospital settings and with ENT physicians before opening her own practice.  She has been working in the South Pasadena, Florida area for over 20 years.

 

Education:

  • Ph.D. in Audiology - August 1996​ - Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee

  • Master of Arts in Audiology - May 1991Miami University, Oxford, Ohio

  • Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences - December 1989 - Miami University, Oxford, Ohio

Dr. Carter has over 30 years of experience working with individuals with hearing problems.  She spent 5 years as a research Audiologist studying how hearing changes with age, how the ears work together to process sound, and how to improve speech understanding in noise.  Dr. Carter has authored and co-authored 13 journal articles, 5 book chapters, and has presented at nearly 20 professional conferences. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Carter has taught at the University of South Florida.  Dr. Carter resides in Treasure Island with her husband Troy and daughter Emily.

Meg MacAlester

Meg has lived in Tampa, Florida for the past 43 years and is originally from Ohio.  Meg worked in retail for 35 years and more recently as a bookeeper and Office Manager before joining the team at Pasadena Hearing Care.

 

Meg and her husband Tom have been married for 42 years.  They have one son, a daughter-in-law, and four beautiful grandchildren. He son recently received his Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from University of the Cumberlands.

Amy E. Kelbley, M.B.A 

An Ohio native, Amy has been a Florida resident since 2019. The mother of Nick, who graduated with an Accounting degree and Hannah, a recent college graduate from Bowling Green State University, Amy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Findlay, Ohio. She is greatly enjoying assisting Pasadena Hearing Care clients following her previous employment as a computer programmer. On the weekends Amy enjoys boating and collecting shells on nearby beaches.

Shannon Banks

Shannon is a native Floridian. She lives in Treasure Island with her three-legged dog Archer. Shannon graduated from Admiral Farragut and proceeded to join the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller.  She was stationed in Texas and Florida, with two tours in Kuwait during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. After eight years of active duty she joined the Federal Aviation Administration. Shannon retired in 2020 and is greatly enjoying living back home in the area where she grew up. On the weekends Shannon enjoys boating and interior decorating.
